Guide For Candidates
The CMx Workmed user guide for candidates/employees.
Quick Guide for Candidates
If you are an employee or candidate, your employer or prospective employer may have booked you in for a workplace or pre-employment medical assessment at a clinic or medical centre. If that clinic uses CMx Workmed, you will receive an SMS or email from us about your scheduled assessment.
Online Health Survey
Most medical assessments require the candidate to answer a series of questions that allow clinicians to get an accurate picture of any existing or potential health issues. For CMx Workmed, we avoid the paperwork by instead linking you to an online survey that is designed to be filled in from your smartphone.
When following the SMS or email link, you will need to verify your identity by entering your surname and date of birth. After adding in some of your personal details and recent employment history, you'll then be asked some questions which mostly just require Yes/No answers. Certain answers may require more details, and you'll be prompted for these.
At the end of the survey you will be asked to sign a declaration using your touch screen. You'll also be given the details for where and when to attend the physical examination at the clinic. You may need to bring photo ID as well as eye glasses if you will be wearing them at work.

Attending the Clinic
Once at the clinic, you may be asked for photo ID. From this point on, the on-site clinicians will assess you in accordance with your employer's specifications for the medical assessment. Different positions of employment require different assessments to take place.
Once done, CMx Workmed takes all of your answers from the online health survey as well as the clinical findings from the assessment and collates everything into one report for your employer to download. Note that it is always the employer who makes the decision on whether you are suitable for the position. Unless you have paid for the medical assessment at the clinic yourself, the employer is the legal owner of the report.
